Home is where the heart is

We were on our way back from our dinner.

Chris Tan, Chris Lo, and myself were in the car discussing, a topic of home came about, and it was only time before I mentioned the oh so wonderful quote...

"Home is where the heart is".

" That's a great saying," Chris Tan replied, "I've never heard of it"

" Neither have I, " said Chris Lo.

Is it from a movie, or a song? Where did it come from? Did you make that up?

Ah the questions that came about... But good question, where did this quote come from ?

Did some research at it actually acme from Pliny the Elder (23-79) , who was a Roman encyclopedist. His greatest and only surviving work, the "Natural History", has been called one of the most influential books ever written in Latin.

There you go, origin , done.

This quote means a lot to me these days. Home really is where the heart is, or perhaps, where the heart is , is where we feel most at home.

It's my first time being away from home during Christmas. I have never failed to be in KK during Christmas, no matter how short the holiday was, I'd be home. I believe being in the line of work that I'm in, this is just the beginning. But, there's no denying , I do miss home, or rather the idea of going back during Christmas.

Subjects of the heart has always been a rather complicated matter. If home is where the heart is than my home is neither in PJS 9 or KK, but somewhere else entirely.

Though I must thank God for everything. I may not be with my family back in KK, but I have my family in Christ here with me in KL, and here, we will celebrate the birth of Christ together.

Till next time, Merry Christmas and God bless.
